Biography

経歴

1985年生まれ。システム設計に従事する傍ら、2018年より占星術の象徴体系「サビアンシンボル」の構造的な解釈と視覚化に取り組む。国内外の占星術研究者との相互作用を通じて、絵画作品やWEBツールを思考の共有手段として展開している。

Born in 1985. While working in system design, since 2018 I have been engaged in structural interpretation and visualization of the astrological symbolic system "Sabian Symbols." Through interactions with astrology researchers both domestically and internationally, I develop paintings and web tools as means of sharing thoughts.

Artistic Philosophy

芸術哲学

私は、占いを「未来を当てる手段」ではなく、思考の射程を広げ、次なる選択を見出すための媒介として捉えています。

本業はシステム設計。未整理の要素を論理的に整理し、有機的な構造へと組み立てていく仕事です。占いにおける象徴の解釈とは、暗示的かつ断片的に提示された情報の中から、潜在的な構造を抽出し、文脈の再編成を試みる行為です。

この営みは、仮設的な秩序を与え、応用可能な構造へと昇華させるという点で、システム設計の方法論と深い共通性を持ちます。

絵画においてもまた、無関係に見える概念や事象のあいだに、構造的な意味や流れを見出すことに惹かれています。主に取り組んでいるのは、西洋占星術における象徴体系「サビアンシンボル」です。

黄道360度それぞれに与えられた短く抽象的な詩文は、一見して脈絡のない断章として現れます。

しかし、それらを俯瞰して眺めるとき、個々の象徴の背後に、構造的な連関や推移のリズムが仄かに立ち上がってきます。この観察と構築の過程そのものが、私にとっての制作です。

私は絵を描きますが、それは感情の発露ではなく、構造を問う視覚的試論です。作品は明確な意味づけを避け、曖昧な輪郭と余白を内包したままに留められます。その不確かさは、観る者の記憶や感覚と共鳴し、予期せぬ連想や発見を誘発する装置となり得ることを願っています。

制作物は初期よりWeb上にて公開しており、欧州を中心とする占星術研究者との静かな対話が続いています。そうしたやりとりの中で、象徴の解釈もまた微細に変容し、私の思考もまた、静かに更新され続けています。

I view divination not as a "means to predict the future," but as a medium for expanding the scope of thought and finding the next choice.

My main profession is system design—work that logically organizes unstructured elements and assembles them into organic structures. Interpreting symbols in divination is an act of extracting latent structures from suggestive and fragmentary information and attempting to reorganize context.

This practice shares deep commonalities with system design methodology in that it provides hypothetical order and sublimates it into applicable structures.

In painting as well, I am drawn to finding structural meaning and flow between seemingly unrelated concepts and phenomena. My main focus is on the symbolic system "Sabian Symbols" in Western astrology.

The short, abstract poetic texts assigned to each of the 360 degrees of the zodiac appear as seemingly disconnected fragments.

However, when viewing them from a bird's-eye perspective, structural connections and rhythms of transition faintly emerge behind individual symbols. This process of observation and construction itself is my creative practice.

I paint, but it is not an expression of emotion, but a visual essay questioning structure. Works avoid clear meaning and are kept with ambiguous contours and margins. I hope that this uncertainty can become a device that resonates with the viewer's memory and senses, triggering unexpected associations and discoveries.

My works have been published on the web since the early stages, and quiet dialogue with astrology researchers, mainly in Europe, continues. Through such exchanges, the interpretation of symbols also undergoes subtle transformations, and my thinking continues to be quietly updated.
